Historian Sammi Lehman will present a lecture on Civil War Medicine. When a Civil War soldier was wounded could he survive the primitive medical care yet to come? Ms. Lehman will explain removal from the battlefield, first medical treatment, surgery, recovery care, medicines, and new treatments discovered by accident.
This event will take placed at the Museum Passenger Station. It is open to the public. Refreshments are provided. Museum members, children 12 and under, free; Non-members, $4.00.
