20th Anniversary Spring Festival
Celebrating 20 Years with Big Changes!
For two decades, families have been hunting gourd eggs at Meadowbrooke Gourds. This year, we're making our Spring Festival even better with two distinct egg hunts! One hunt is designed just for kids, and a brand-new treasure hunt for adults with exciting prizes!
This free festival is held on our 200-acre farm among the blue mountains. Enjoy beautiful scenery while you shop, dine, have a drink, and make your very own birdhouse, bird feeder, butterfly house, eggs and baskets with the help of our crafting experts!
Kids' Gourd Egg Hunt
How It Works:
Hunt for gourd eggs on our spacious event lawn, where little ones can easily spot their treasures! Each registered child will find:
- 5 natural gourd eggs ready for painting
- 1 Prize egg, if they are lucky enough to find one
Prizes include:
- Bubbles
- Jump Rope
- Sidewalk Chalk
- Fidget Spinner
- Bouncy Ball
- Stuffed Monkey
What Makes Our Eggs Special:
Unlike plastic eggs that end up in the trash, our natural gourd eggs are grown to last 100+ years with proper care. Take them to our classroom and paint them with our supplies during the festival, or bring them home for family crafting time. These become heirloom decorations you'll treasure for generations!
Registration Details:
- Cost: $5 donation per egg hunter to Newville Paw Packs (supports hungry kids in our community — learn more here)
- Your gift back: Receive a $5 gift shop coupon per registrant to use the day of the festival
- Hunt times: 11am-12pm and 1pm-2pm
- Painting eggs: Bring your found eggs to our Paint Your Own Classroom for just $1 each
Adult Golden Egg Treasure Hunt
Ready for an adventure? We've hidden 50 golden prize eggs throughout the entire festival! Search the gift shop, browse the Oops Sale, chat with vendors — your prize could be anywhere.
How to Claim Your Prize:
- Find a golden egg (limit one per person)
- Bring it to the Information Tent in the event lawn
- We'll help you crack it open to reveal your prize!
Prizes Include:
- $100 cash
- $50 cash
- Free gourd designs (more to be announced soon)
- Gift certificates
- Speciality Chocolate & more
Important: Prize eggs must be cracked at the Information Tent to be valid. One prize per customer.
